Oh! How I miss the chivalrous gesture!

Oh! How I miss the chivalrous gesture!

An age has gone by when men showed chivalry and the women sighed in appreciation.

Now the women look fiercely secure and their independence detracts you from a coincidence of extending a helping hand.

Your holding the car door may mean dumbo!

Stepping aside to let the woman set her feet on the lift is a grace that may be simply ignored as the time for the next meeting captures her entire attention.

Offering the seat on the coffee table should either be a suggestion or simply business like. The flower that you may offer will find its seat in the bag so quickly.

Is the new age devoid of romance? Or does it want everything so very substantially directed?

Should the stranger be an alien as their numbers don't hold much value?

Time in between work, schedules, family commitments was just so filling once with a coffee over an hour or so. Its flavour would linger and its taste could stay innocently memorable.

The bowing down in grace and looking into the eye with a vigour of a countable kind are alas why so missing?

They once said chivalry is dead. But when the chivalrous is alive its appears inconsequential.

Have the women got used to not having the chivalry or do they not want chivalry any longer?

The pants could not have killed that. As men and women are very different.

That difference is graceful. And that difference will keep the human alive.
