You Have a Ball, the Governments will have a Blast!

You Have a Ball, the Governments will have a Blast!

The choreography that everyone is turning into the year end mega event is a charade with a greater plot I think.

In one stroke, dead, lame and vociferous parties got an opportunity to make good media bytes, and make their presence felt.

However, the wonder of it all is that everyone has been a gainer (sure then, the drama cannot be polarised) :

BJP, of course, as the key opposition has turned the nation's voice against the ruling Government upping its ante from decay;

RJD & SP who at the moment must be living gratis Congress as their key fund generator, along with the various small parties fed by Cong must have had an opportunity strike good deals, not just for their role in killing the bill, but also taking a few political mileage for their projected caste loyalties,

Mamata Banerjee of course seen as the opponent of liberal policies that Bengal loves to hate; CPI(M) got an opportunity to be the intellectually more sophisticated approach of prudence, well crafted arguments that the ones who want to earn their bread gratis yearn (more simply put, those who want recognition for their words said, whether or not it converts into a valuable result).

And Congress the ever last inevitable choice gets back to its eternal platform - in a totally incompetent system, at least we give you a hope that you havent yet turned a Banana Republic.

Therefore together the political class has made sure that the political battle remains within the hands of the Consortium of Power that the present political system has been reduced to; thus, making sure the public encroachment in this domain is made futile or mutilated.

Who could be the author of this classic formulae? We would be fools not to identify their interest - South & the North Block is a temporary set for some, but a permanent for most: that most inherit a pedigree from the British style of drawing room administrative dispensation midst swigs of gin & tonic.
